Collectors Library of the Civil War
Collectors Library of the Civil War
The Collector's Library of the Civil War is a series of books that were originally written by people who directly experienced the Civil War. Most of these volumes were originally published in the late 1800's - early 1900's but they were brought together and re-printed as a set by Time-Life in the early 1980's.

These volumes are bound in black leather and look pretty nice. The one I thumbed through was more like a novel than anything else; there was essentially one long dialogue and no pictures. It seems that since they are re-prints of existing works you can't expect the nice pictures you usually see in Time-Life books.
